Tell Me Where You Are

In the Sarajevo estates an address is not a street and a number. It is the number, then the lamela, then the entrance. Nobody lied. Every record is correct. That is exactly why nothing can be proven.
In the Sarajevo estates an address is not a street and a number. An address is the number, then the lamela, then the entrance. Anyone who did not grow up in one can stand in front of the right building and be completely lost. Elvir has taken calls for the ambulance service for six years. He knows how a man sounds when he does not know where he is, and he knows how long a crew takes to find the entrance. Nobody lied. Every record is correct. And that is why it is impossible to prove that anybody did anything.
The opening
// The first pages, as written.
By two in the morning Elvir had taken eleven calls and nine of them were not emergencies.
One man wanted somebody to tell him whether he could take a blood pressure tablet if he had already taken two. One woman rang because her neighbour was banging on the radiator, and she was certain it was not the radiator but a sign. One young man rang to ask whether the ambulance service worked at night at all, and when Elvir told him it did, he said thank you and hung up.
At twenty to three a man came on the line who could not feel his legs.
The shape of it
// Who is in it, where it happens, what it is about.
